Submissions
HARK is a literary print magazine of poetry, short fiction and non-fiction.
We are looking for writing, in poetry and prose, that pays close and sustained attention to language and the configurations and possibilities of that language. We believe that great art is capable of examining the world and our encounter with it through a unique and challenging language, a language that reveals the beauties and transcendence that is contained within the things we observe on a daily basis. It is a writing that does not reach for stock phrases or conventional turns of phrase, but uses its poetic “eye” to explore the textures and implications of that examination.
Unfortunately we can’t pay you for your writing. But we will be the best advocate for your work, both now and in the future.
