The Filthy For Books' Sake Erotica Anthology. Deadline: Jan 9th.

For Books' Sake Submission Manager - The Filthy For Books' Sake Erotica Anthology

It's time. In our previous anthologies, we've taken on pulp fictionroller derby and women warriors. Now, we're calling for submissions (no pun intended) to our first ever erotica collection, and we can't wait to see what you come (no pun intended) up with.

From the soft and sensual to the most downright dirty, hardcore and obscene, with the exception of the few restrictions below, anything goes. Your characters can be any gender or sexuality, including trans and gender non-conforming characters. Set your story in any genre, time or place, and don't be afraid to push boundaries and send us something subversive.

From bisexual bikers into bondage to first times of post-apocalyptic punks via vampire orgies, steampunk sexpots, toys and tattoos, get creative with setting, style and subculture, and give it to us good.

Word count: Maximum word count is 6,000 words. There's no minimum word count and flash fiction is welcome, but please no poetry this time.

Deadline: Midnight on Friday 9th January 2015.

Restrictions:

  • Work must be previously unpublished.
  • We welcome kink, but please nothing involving children, bestiality, incest, necrophilia or rape.
  • No fanfiction or stories involving celebrities or other real people.
  • Authors must identify as women, and be eighteen years old or over when they submit their work.
What happens next: The anthology will be published as an e-book in February. We may request minor edits to selected stories, and will be in touch about these by mid-January.

Payment: For Books' Sake is a volunteer-run charitable organisation that currently receives no external funding. So, at the moment, we can't afford to pay the writers we feature. But authors retain all the rights to their work, and will receive a free digital copy of the finished collection, as well as promotion to our community of over 20,000. Any money we make from the anthology will be channeled into future publishing projects and other activity championing and celebrating women writers, such as our regular workshops and events.

Other opportunities: For more submissions calls, follow For Books' Sake on Facebook or Twitter, and sign up to the mailing list
