Bath Flash Fiction Award is a rolling competition. Each award ends when 1000 entries are received. Judging takes place soon afterwards, with a top prize of £1000. At the close of each competition, the next competition begins.
Aim
We aim to encourage everyone who loves writing to develop their skills by creating stories of 300 words or less. We also intend to promote flash fiction and bring the genre to a wider audience.
The Award
- £1000 prize for the winning entry, £300 second prize and £100 third.
- £9.00 standard fee per entry, £4.00 for Members.
- 300 word limit. No minimum length. More details in the Rules.
- All entries are made online via email.
Finding our Winner
- The Bath Flash Fiction team will select a longlist of the best 50 entries and a shortlist of 10 entries
- Our shortlist judge will choose the winner, second, third and two commended stories.
The Announcement
The winner of the The Bath Flash Fiction Award will be announced shortly after the competition closes. The winning story and runners up will published on our News page.
