Inkerman and Blunt is looking for lip-stained papers of romantic love, the tear marked pages of loss, and the blooded welts of passion, jealousy and desire, we’re searching for heart breaking notes from the fields of war, postcards from distant and glorious places, memos on the fridge and ‘Dear John’ letters, emails and texts sent when love’s departure is too cruel to speak of face to face.
We invite all writers to send us love letters revealing the ache of Dorothy Porter, the longing of Christopher Brennan, the secret love of Henry VIII for Anne Boleyn, of Elizabeth for Leonard Jolley, the forbidden love of Ginsberg and Orlovsky, of Vita and Virginia, the sheer joy of Anita Heiss, the intellectual love of Sartre and Beauvoir, the imperial love of Napoleon and Josephine, the faithful love of our Prime Minister Joseph Lyons, the romantic love of John Keats for Fanny Brawne.
It can be from you to someone else, or you can imagine you’re someone else writing to their lover. It can be addressed to whoever, or whatever you’re in love with.
