For the second year running, The Folio Society and the British Library host a festival devoted to the art of storytelling
The Folio Prize celebrates English fiction from every country, in every genre, in every form. Sponsored by The Folio Society, publisher of beautiful books, the Prize has created an Academy of the world’s most eminent English language writers and critics to seek out and share the best novels and short stories of our time.
The judges of the Prize are Rachel Cooke, William Fiennes, Mohsin Hamid, A.M. Homes, and Deborah Levy. They will appear alongside this year's shortlisted authors, as well as members of The Folio Prize Academy, including Val McDermid, Neel Mukherjee,Eimear McBride and Jeanette Winterson. Together, they will explore some of the great themes and key elements that propel and punctuate a story, with events on Betrayal, Desire, Inheritance, Conflict, Wit and Endings.
There will be a pop-up bookshop, run by the British Library Shop.
