Join June Caldwell & Rob Doyle, two of Dublin's finest writers, at this intimate evening of book talk at the secret cinema at Brooks Hotel.

Two of Dublin's finest storytellers, June Caldwell and Rob Doyle, will be talking to Paul McVeigh about their unique writing styles and take on Dublin. Who gets to tell the story of Dublin? How has the portrayal of the city changed over the years? What is Dublin like now and do we see the real city in literature? 

June Caldwell is a writer from Dublin. She has published essays, short stories, biography, poetry, fiction, radio scripts, and journalism. She is the author of short story collection Room Little Darker and her debut novel Little Town Moone is forthcoming from John Murray. She is a prizewinner of The Moth Short Story Prize.

Rob Doyle is the author of four internationally acclaimed books: Threshold, Autobibliography, This Is the Ritual, and Here Are the Young Men, which has been adapted for film. His work has been translated into several languages. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, Observer, Dublin Review and many other publications, and he edited the anthologies The Other Irish Tradition and In This Skull Hotel Where I Never Sleep.
