Job Description:
BookBub seeks a talented individual to help curate and produce content for our fast-growing community of book lovers. Responsibilities include:
- Writing creative and appealing blurbs for featured books
- Selecting books that would be appealing to the BookBub audience
- Providing editorial advice to author and publisher clients
- Helping produce the daily content for the service
- Communicating with members to engage them and respond to inquiries
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for the position will have:
- Excellent writing skills, including the ability to compose original and effective blurbs for books in a variety of genres (from Historical Romance to Horror)
- Outstanding professional written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine interest in reading and books, work experience in the industry a plus
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with little guidance
- Excitement for a fast-paced, rapidly changing start-up environment where work can occasionally get chaotic and be required at off hours
- A Bachelor's degree from a selective college
