CIPHER PRESS seeks Fiction and Non-fiction Books About Queer Lives

SUBMIT TO CIPHER PRESS

Cipher Press will publish fiction and non-fiction about queer lives. We are looking for stories that transcend genres and explore the many dimensions of queer identity. We want stories about queer bodies and queer sex, about shapeshifters, about skaters, about private detectives, about strippers, about librarians, and about the many ways we fuck up and survive. We want self-help books from queer sex workers, and memoirs from queer elders.

Alongside our books Cipher Press will also publish a series of chapbooks with the aim of showcasing new authors alongside more established ones and exploring themes of queer identity. For our chapbooks we will be looking for submissions of essays and short stories.

Fiction - please send a brief synopsis and the first three chapters (or equivalent) to submissions [at] cipherpress [dot] co [dot] uk. Please use the subject line Submission: Fiction.

Non-fiction - please send a one-page outline of your book and a twenty-page sample to submissions [at] cipherpress [dot] co [dot] uk. Please use the subject line Submission: Non-Fiction.

Chapbooks - we’ll be posting updates about our chapbook series on this website and our social media, so keep an eye out to see how you can contribute.
